Pemberton Veterinary Hospital is looking to hire a Registered Veterinary Technician! Pemberton Veterinary Hospital is a small and large animal practice, with primarily small animal services on-site and large animal services off-site. The RVT position will be mainly on-site for our small animal services, but interested candidates may have opportunities to work in large animal if they become interested (or have previous experience). We currently have one full-time veterinarian, and one part-time veterinarian, with two-three support staff including a part-time RVT (for large animal). We have a full-time or part-time RVT position available to start immediately, but we are flexible with hiring dates for the right candidate. The clinic is open Monday through Friday with business hours from 9am – 5pm; Closed on the Weekends and statutory holidays. Our wage range is 23-28$/hour; depending on experience. We offer staff benefits and discounts on products and services, as well as opportunities for career development and CE. There is a potential for a signing bonus to help with a transition for those candidates interested in re-locating to Pemberton. The University of Calgary, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (UCVM) invites applications for a 13 month Limited Term Instructor, Small Animal Veterinary Clinical Sciences position in the Department of Veterinary Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences. The position will have 90% of its time focused on teaching with 10% dedicated to service. Teaching will largely be comprised of clinical skills laboratory teaching of undergraduate students. A smaller contribution to didactic and field course teaching, and course coordination will be required. Qualifications include a DVM (or equivalent) with demonstration of continuing education and experiences that demonstrate a high standard of small animal clinical practice. Past teaching experience is considered an asset. The applicant must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the province of Alberta. Check online for more information and to apply.
