Let’s create something amazing together! Come and be a part of a new team, at a new PRIVATELY owned emergency hospital in the beautiful Kamloops, British Columbia!
Phases Veterinary Emergency Hospital is scheduled to open in Fall of 2023.
We want to build a supportive and inclusive team of amazing individuals who work together to practice incredible medicine, all while putting a primary focus on their own personal well-being. Let’s not just say we are going to have “work-life balance”, let’s actually have it. We are all more than just our job titles – let’s change what it means to be a veterinarian. Let’s kick ass while we’re on shift, and enjoy all of the amazing perks that a brand new 24-hour hospital has to offer, but let’s also kick ass while we’re off shift.
We COULD list all of the benefits that would be included with a position at PVEH, including health plans, uniform allowances, competitive salaries, CE allowances, personal pet perks, buy-in opportunities etc.
We could ALSO list all of the state of the art equipment we will have in the hospital including Endoscopy, CT Scanner, full in-house IDEXX diagnostics, digital X-ray, Ultrasound, visiting Boarded Surgeon, etc.
BUT, this position is so much more than that.
This position is about creating a lifestyle that we can all invest in and benefit from; the “Phases Lifestyle”. Our team members will become a family that shares the burdens this career sometimes piles onto us, a family that collaborates to create a schedule everyone is happy with, a family that forms a cohesive group of practitioners that shares in the creation of treatment protocols and SOPs, a family that ensures everyone has the flexibility to truly enjoy their life away from the hospital, a family that throws rad parties and engages in outdoor and sporting pursuits together. This family will not have a corporate patriarch, but will instead be a democracy made up of its whole team.
We want to ensure that our team members are happy and healthy, and that they constantly feel valued and heard. We want you to be the best vet you can be, and the best person you can be, and we want to create a place where you can see yourself staying for the long term.
We are looking for full-time, part-time and locum veterinarians to join the PVEH Family.
If you are ready to help us create something new, and work towards changing what it means to be a veterinarian in this crazy world today, then get in touch with us. We cannot wait to hear from you!
Sincerely, Drs. Adrian Helmers and Megan Broschak. Email ahmbvets@gmail.com

Lucrative small animal practice in Powell River, British Columbia for sale.
We have a well outfitted, highly efficient clinic providing all basic services needed in modern practice.

After 36 years in the saddle, the owner would like to retire now and is willing to sell the clinic and real-estate for $700,000.
Powell River situated in the Qathet district on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, about 20 minutes north of Vancouver by a commuter flight.
The Qathet district is a mecca for outdoor activities. There are thousands of kilometers of maintained trails for both hikers and bikers including a nationally recognized and internationally celebrated multi-day hut to hut hiking trail. Canoeing and kayaking opportunities abound with the famous Desolation Sound just north of Powell River and an established circular canoe route linking several isolated forest lakes into days of peaceful paddling. For the real adventurers the Eldred Valley, Canada Yosemite, provides challenging rock climbing.
Anglers can enjoy both salt water fishing in the Salish Sea and fresh water fishing in any of our countless lakes.
The arts community here is outstanding. The Kathaumixw Choral competition is an annual major event (https://kathaumixw.org/ ) here, but it is matched by the annual jazz festival and a large vibrant arts community.
Powell River is a great place to live and raise a healthy family.

Veterinarians Wanted | 2023-09-25 | British Columbia | V2304017
Create your own veterinary dream job and receive the down payment towards your new home! Tell us how you see your dream job and we’ll help you make your dream job become true. The only thing we won’t be able to offer you is farm animal work, as we’re a small animal exclusive hospital. But if pet medicine is your thing keep reading!
How much do you want to work? One day a week, three days, five days? Deal. Need Tuesday mornings off for yoga or archery? We’ll help you out. You want to gain more experience in ultrasound, dentistry or surgery? We’ll make it work. New grad and you’d like mentoring? Been there, done that, and we can change the way we do it if you have suggestions. More or less after hours call? We got you. Your own exam room assistant, so you can focus on your patients and clients and offer them your best medicine? Done. An experienced team of technicians to monitor your anesthetics and assist you in surgery? In place. Your mental health? Our top priority. We have made numerous changes to help our vets get out on time and reduce their stress levels - this helps them in turn to offer compassionate care to our patients.
Of course, we’ve got all the toys you’d expect from an AAHA accredited hospital (ultrasound, digital x-ray, TPLO equipment, dental radiographs) and, just like you, we aim for a high standard of care, great customer service and fear free visits for our furry friends. Clinics all around trust us with referrals.
But if you’ve got suggestions how to elevate our game even further we’re all ears. Our team gets along great and is supportive of anyone that joins our bandwagon. Did we mention health care and paid continuing education benefits?
We’re located in Prince George, BC. You’ll have everything you need and things you didn’t know you needed until you got here! Skiing, alpine hiking, kayaking, sailing, fishing and camping. We’ve got shopping, cinemas, theatres, museums, a WHL hockey team, concerts, a comedy club and an art gallery but… (drumroll)… no commute! Additionally, we’ll offer you a $15,000 - $40,000 relocation allowance (depending on experience) – in Prince George that’s enough for a down payment towards a nice single-family home.
On top of that we’ll organize your accommodation while you settle in and we’ll even stock your fridge with beer, some steaks or vegetables to make you feel at home right away!

Veterinarians Wanted | 2022-09-13 | British Columbia | V2212006
Varied career opportunities are available at a privately owned group of veterinary clinics centrally located in Vancouver. This is not your average job opportunity. We provide world class care integrating specialized medical and surgical services in a general practice context. This allows our doctors to follow cases from start to finish, learn and develop skills from colleagues with advanced training while improving our client’s experience and reducing client costs. Our clinicians have access to digital radiography, ultrasound and minimally invasive surgery as well as advanced general surgery suites. In addition to a focus on clinical excellence, we also foster an environment of friendly, patient first, lifestyle-friendly practice that supports a healthy work-life balance. Signing bonus available for exceptional candidates.
Three types of positions are currently open:
Leadership: This position is equivalent to medical director or specialist. It is open to doctors who have advanced training and who want to practice their profession outside of the traditional referral center environment. Ideally you will have completed an internship or residency OR have significant emergency/ICU experience OR ANZCVS members or fellows. You will have the opportunity to take a leadership role, supporting your colleagues while providing advanced case management to your clients, in your community. This position is well suited to clinicians with residency training in internal medicine, Emergency/Critical Care or Surgery.
Associate DVM: A general practice post for a doctor with 5+ years of experience who seeks to pursue general practice in a high quality team-based environment. Must be a team player able to handle a variety of cases on their own and willing to collaborate with in-house specialists to get the best possible clinical outcomes for their patients and the people who love them.
New grad or recent graduate. We encourage all new grads to apply to our internship position offered through VIRMP. An internship with Dr. Burstyn is the best way to start your career and will set you up for personal and professional success. However if you are a new graduate who is not ready to commit to a formal internship you can still be considered for an entry level position with our clinics. We realize that not everyone can commit to advanced training after veterinary school and we have a long standing tradition of supporting and training new graduates, helping them through the challenges of their first year of clinical practice and setting them up for success in their career to come.
Partnership opportunity exists within our practice model with owner supported buy-in an option. If you are a veterinarian interested in purchasing or starting a practice and are seeking assistance or a partner to share the risks and rewards, we invite you to reach out to us as well.
